Electric Music, the legends that have brought you Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Nicky Romero and Avicii over the past 3 years, are proud to announce electronic legend, Carl Cox, to headline The Electric NYE Ball in Cape Town. The iconic, triple-deck master is no stranger to South Africa’s nightlife and for many dance-loving South Africans, his return is long overdue.
The NYE playground will be the CTICC and tickets will be on sale at Computicket from Monday 26 August. The venue will be transformed into a wonderland befitting the status of this DJ legend, and the production for this one night only experience will be on par with what fans have come to expect from an Electric Music event. Support DJs are still to be announced.

What better time to celebrate with this music icon than this one-night only New Year’s Eve 2014 DJ set, talk about starting the year with a bang…
Carl’s early days saw him spinning rare groove and hip-hop in the bars of Chicago and New York. He went on to become a veteran of the acid house scene, and the stalwart of electronic music he is today; Coxy, as he’s affectionately known, is showing no signs of slowing down. His residency at Space is one of the most popular club nights in Ibiza and his Global Radio show reaches 12 million listeners in over 35 countries.
On the back of the IAMHARDWELL World Tour touching down in three cities, and a couple of monumental developments in the pipeline, this has been another groundbreaking year for Electric Music. This will be the first annual Electric Ball, and the Cape Town International Convention Centre provides the playground space, which will be kitted with an array of décor, lighting and sound. Expect nothing less than the world-class production you’ve come to know from Electric Music events.
The party will offer three tiers of tickets, including the VIP and VVIP experience, which offers exclusive bar service and elevated dance floors. The VVIP ticket gives the party goer free drinks all night, and the midnight countdown will see everyone with a glass of champagne in hand, to toast the strike of midnight, during Carl Cox’s extended NYE set.

This first-for-South-Africa New Years Eve event promises to be a spectacular, big room celebration, and very much worth the 15-year wait.
